Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What decking services do you offer in St Ives?

We offer custom timber decking, composite decking and pool decking for residential outdoor spaces. Depending on your needs, we can help plan a new deck or improve an existing area, with the design shaped by the property's layout and how you intend to use it.

What is the difference between timber and composite decking?

Timber decking has a natural appearance, with individual grain patterns and colour variations. It generally needs regular maintenance to keep it in good condition. Composite decking has a more consistent finish and usually needs less upkeep. The right choice depends on your preferred look, budget and maintenance expectations.

Can you build decking around swimming pools?

Yes, we can help plan decking for poolside areas. The design needs to account for wet conditions, drainage and a suitable slip-resistant surface. Relevant pool safety requirements should also be considered to ensure the surrounding area is planned appropriately.

How long does it take to build a deck?

The time required depends on the deck's dimensions, design complexity, ground conditions and site access. A smaller, straightforward deck may take several days, while a larger project can take longer. We can provide a more suitable timeframe after reviewing the proposed work.

How do I choose the right decking contractor in St Ives?

Before choosing a contractor, discuss the deck's purpose, site conditions, material options and expected maintenance. Our decking services cover a range of outdoor projects. The right design will depend on each property's needs, whether in St Ives, Gordon, Pymble, Killara or Lindfield.
